Collaboration with Coop: A day dedicated to good deeds
On Saturday May 25, 2024, we had the pleasure of collaborating with the Coop on a special day to raise awareness of sharing and mutual aid in the Geneva Daubin and Petit-Lancy stores. The aim of the Day of Good Deeds was to inform Coop customers about various community initiatives in Geneva. Members of Tereo manned a stand and distributed free shopping bags. Visitors were able to discover and learn more about our international projects in Africa. This fruitful collaboration enabled us to reach a wide audience and reinforce our message in favor of a more united world.
Conference at Hepia: The climate emergency and international cooperation
Three days later, on May 28, 2024, Tereo hosted a stand at Hepia (Geneva University of Landscape, Engineering and Architecture) on the sidelines of a round table on the climate crisis and its impact on development cooperation organized by the Geneva Cooperation Federation. The event brought together experts, students and members of the academic community to discuss the challenges posed by climate change and possible strategies for dealing with it in development projects. Speakers shared case studies and field experiences, illustrating how the climate emergency is influencing the planning and implementation of our initiatives in southern countries. The audience was once again made aware of the weight of its carbon footprint and the urgency of adopting local ecological initiatives, proving the validity of the innovative and sustainable solutions of the projects that Tereo implements.
