We are delighted to be taking part in the forum dedicated to international solidarity and climate change to be held on February 9 and 10, 2024 at the Espace Vélodrome in Plan-les-Ouates. There will be an exhibition, a round table, a show, children’s activities and world cuisine. Come one, come all, and say hello!
Climate change and solidarity projects are at the heart of the forum’s program. The event, organized by the Service de l’action sociale et de la jeunesse in collaboration with some thirty associations and NGOs, is free and open to all.
It kicks off on Friday February 9 at 5pm with the opening of the exhibition. It will feature stands for associations and a presentation of international solidarity projects subsidized by the Commune. There will also be entertainment for children, world cuisine, a refreshment bar and craft sales. At 6:30 p.m., there will be a round-table discussion on the theme of “Solidarity projects: what solutions to the climate emergency?
On Saturday February 10, a participatory workshop entitled “La fresque du climat”, open to children aged 9 and over, will enable them to reflect on the causes and consequences of climate change. This activity is free with registration, and includes breakfast. From 12pm, the public can access the exhibition, again accompanied by children’s activities and world cuisine. At 2 p.m., a solidarity rally organized in collaboration with the Jardin d’Aventures de Plan-les-Ouates will give families the chance to have a good time. A snack will be offered to participants. The event concludes at 4:30 p.m. with the closing verrée.
